Career Transitions is recruiting candidates for the following Hardware Network Engineer job role within a long-standing and ever growing corporation, a leader in its industry. Location is Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is a permanent job position within a strong and positive employee culture. In this role you will administer, enhance, and support the current enterprise infrastructure and associated hardware products. Candidates should offer hands-on desktop support experience, network administration, OS and server experience, mobile device support, as well as wide range of network hardware experience and knowledge. You will collaborate with management and outside vendors in the support of current technologies and systems and given opportunities to propose enhancements and change. This position reports to the CFO and requires some domestic travel. Responsibilities Manage the entire corporate network including hardware server and storage systems, software application deployments, network and telephony communications, security, and the mobile device environment Manage, deploy and support all desktop PC and peripheral equipment Work closely with Software Vendor Technical Consultants and Sales Support to solve problems Oversee the company email, website, backups and disaster recovery implementation and usage Partners with management to create and maintain policies, standard procedures, benchmarks and KPIs Supervise and train new employees on the technology and best practices Support the operations Call Center and Sales Representatives with high performance, reliable technical solutions to solve customer business problems Capacity planning, licensing, enhancements, upgrades or migration of technology Troubleshoot and correct defective personal and vehicular mobile communications equipment On-call support (24x7) for emergency situations Continue professional development and knowledge of IT products and solutions Qualifications BSEE, BSCE, or equivalent, with 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology; or Associate Degree in computer related curriculum with 5+ years of experience Knowledge of Windows Server, Virtual Machine and SAN administration, configuration and maintenance Hands-on experience with configuration and support of Microsoft system applications such as Hyper V, SQL, IIS, DHCP, AD, Exchange and RDS Familiarity with network switches, routers, firewalls, LAN, WAN, VoIP, WIFI appliances and cabling Ability to efficiently troubleshoot IP networks, hardware and mobile devices Working knowledge of standard network security methods Experience with performance and asset management monitoring techniques, tools and analytics In depth knowledge of Windows desktop environments, communications and peripherals Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other common desktop applications A team player who can work independently, be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Skilled in project management, organization, personal discipline, interpersonal relationships and professional written and oral communications Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with Citrix and XenApp Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Basic knowledge of SalesPad Familiar with T1 communications and telephony Microsoft certifications Project Management Institute certification Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident to meet client requirements.
