Barney has only three legs but don't call him handicapped, in his mind he is just like any other dog. This 6 year old Pit mix had his right rear leg amputated after being hit by a car, the people who rescued him graciously paid to have this surgery done so Barney could live a long, healthy life in a forever home. He loves walks; just not on laminate flooring. He also loves car rides, ice cream, and squeaky toys. Barney has been through obedience training and does well on and off leash. He will be the perfect companion for an individual or couple who love to be cuddle. Barney would do better in a home without children; though he lives with children now in his foster home; he just doesn't seem to understand them and is very uncomfotable around them.
