Tabatha is a lab/pitt mix only two years old. She's grown up with 6 children that she loved, but the family has fallen on tough times and Tabatha & her buddy, George, are paying the price.
They have lost their home through no blame of theirs, but luckily a sweet soul is caring for them until they find their forever homes. Tabatha is always up for walks or runs or play or cuddling! She is not a couch potato, but if cuddles are involved she's there! Tabatha will work better in a home without cats because she is addicted to chasing them. Training was not a priority with her first family, so obedience training would be high priority. Dogs adopted from SPCA of Southwest Michigan have received the following:
*Spay or neuter surgery,
*Rabies vaccination,
*Bordatella nasal vaccination, up-to-date at the time of adoption,
*DHPP or DHLPP vaccination, up-to-date at the time of adoption,
*Generalized de-worming,
*Minimum of one fecal test for parasites,
*Heartworm test (adult dogs only),
*Preventative treatment for fleas and ticks,
*Preventative treatment for heartworm,
*Behavioral assessment
*Micro-chip for identification, transferred to adopter.
Individuals adopting pets from the SPCA of Southwest Michigan must agree to establish a relationship with a veterinary clinic within 10 days of the date of adoption for ongoing care of the animal. Adopters receive a 5 lb bag of the appropriate Hill's Science Diet dog food.
If a dog is too young to be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, adopters receive a refund of a $25 deposit upon documentation that the sterilization procedure (paid by SPCA) is complete.
